Ruta is for injuries to ligaments, tendons and periosteum (lining of the bones). Suitable for fractures or bruising of the bone, slow to heal with a lot of pain in the bones as well as bruising.
Useful for areas subject to overuse, over-exertion e.g tennis elbow, carpal tunnel syndrome.
Eyestrain from looking at small things – in your grandmother’s day it would have been extended embroidery work, today it’s staring at the computer or smartphone for too long. Good for headaches that come on from doing this eye straining work.
Nodules on bones, periosteum or tendons from overuse.
Back pain and weakness from over use – lifting or straining or falling on back or being hit in the lower back area. Pain improves after lying down.
Sciatica – bruised and darting pains aggravated at night when lying down
Suitable for rectal prolapse, haemorrhoids, constipation.
Dental and jaw problems – tooth trauma where tooth is loosened in socket or knocked out, jaw/bone pain after dental surgery and anaesthetic injection, pain after tooth extraction if arnica isn’t enough, healing jaw fractures. Useful for pain associated with fitting and adjustment of braces.
