Chamomilla is an excellent children’s remedy. It is prescribed for stomach upsets, colic, diarrhoea and irritability, especially during teething (when one cheek is red).
The symptoms of such irritability may include over-sensitivity to noise, light and smell, desire to be picked up and carried, restlessness characterised by wanting things but rejecting them when offered, crying and being distressed.
For adults, Chamomilla is prescribed for irritability, tension, insomnia, stomach upsets, earaches and toothaches.
The remedy has been successfully used by women past and present to attain relief from excruciating pain, profuse sweating and fainting that accompanies menstrual and/or labor pains.
